Eddie Fewings

Mr Edward (Eddie) Fewings is a Mbabaram man and Traditional Owner of an area on the north western edge of the Atherton Tablelands, in far North Queensland.

Eddie works in the Queensland Aboriginal and Islander Health Council (QAIHC) the Queensland peak body for Aboriginal and Islander Community Controlled Health Organisations (AICCHOs) and closely with the Queensland Indigenous Substance Misuse Council (QISMC), to strengthen and expand the community-controlled alcohol and other drugs (AOD) treatment sector.

Eddie advocates for and supports accessible and culturally responsive AOD treatment options in the mainstream service system to reduce the impact of problematic substance use.
